Albego Diffuso in Rwuanda

Using historical sources from the local ethnographic museum, Sextantio will recreate structures to reorient travel to a forgotten island in Rwanda with The Capanne (Huts) Project on Nkombo Island, Lake Kivu. The goal, though challenging, is to reduce the cultural impact that African resorts have on local places and people. The entire project ‘will not have any profit purpose’ and will fund Sextantio Onlus, a non-profit organization for social utility that helps the most deprived people seek affordable healthcare and effective treatments for treatable diseases in Rwanda. The result, two authentic huts on a private beach, offers a truly authentic stay that immerse guests in the setting’s rhythms and routines.
